Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between your business and Adstar Marketing ("we", "us"), which operates Reeve. By signing up for or using Reeve, you agree to them on behalf of your business. Please read them with our privacy policy, which explains how we handle information.

1. What Reeve is

Reeve is an AI office manager for trades and home service businesses. You run it by texting it from your phone. Depending on what you connect, it can book jobs, text your customers, answer calls you miss, handle email and social messages, send invoices, keep your books, request and reply to reviews, post to social media and build your website.

2. Your account and who can approve

  • You'll give us accurate details about your business and keep them up to date.
  • You choose the people allowed to approve actions for your business. Anyone using an approved phone number can make requests and give approvals, so keep those phones secure and tell us right away if one is lost or someone should no longer have access.
  • You're responsible for everything done through your account by the people you've allowed.

3. How Reeve acts for you

  • Your requests: when you ask Reeve to do something, that's your go-ahead, and it does it.
  • Reeve's own ideas: when an action was Reeve's suggestion, it shows you the exact wording or details and waits for your yes.
  • Automatic work you can switch off: a few things happen without a separate yes, within fixed limits. These are a review request when you say a job is done, a first text to a new lead from your website, answering calls you miss as a virtual assistant, and reminder calls to customers partway through a booking. You can turn these off.
  • AI can make mistakes. Reeve is careful and asks when it isn't sure, but it can misunderstand. Check anything important before you approve it. You're responsible for what you ask Reeve to do and what you approve.

4. Your customers and the law

  • You confirm you have the right to contact the customers Reeve texts, calls or emails for you, including any consent required by Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and other laws that apply to you.
  • When a customer replies STOP, Reeve stops texting them. You won't ask Reeve to contact anyone who has opted out.
  • Reeve tells callers it's a virtual assistant and keeps a transcript of each call. You're responsible for any other notice your business needs to give.

5. Connected accounts

You can connect accounts such as your calendar, email, Google Business Profile, social media and Stripe through links Reeve texts you. You authorize Reeve to use them for the work you ask for. Those services have their own terms, which still apply, and you can disconnect them at any time.

6. Plan, payment and renewal

  • Reeve is one plan at $299 CAD a month, plus applicable taxes, billed monthly in advance to the card on file.
  • Your plan renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. It takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for, and we don't refund partial months.
  • If we change the price, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice first.
  • Card payments your customers make go straight to your own Stripe account. Stripe charges its standard fees; Reeve adds nothing on top and never holds your money.

7. Usage credits

  • Everything Reeve does for you (reading and writing texts and emails, answering calls, making posts, building your website and so on) uses credits. Your plan includes 100,000 credits a month, which is plenty for most businesses.
  • Credits reset on the first day of each month (Atlantic time). Unused credits don't carry over.
  • Automatic top-ups: if you use all your credits, Reeve automatically adds 10,000 more for $14 CAD plus applicable taxes, charged to your card on file, and keeps working. This repeats each time a block runs out.
  • Monthly limit: automatic top-ups stop at $100 CAD in a month. After that, Reeve pauses its AI work until you reply YES to keep going or the next month starts. Your customers' messages are kept while it's paused.
  • We text you when you've used 80% of your credits, each time a top-up is added, and if you reach the monthly limit. Your dashboard shows your credits at any time.
  • Extra credits are only for the month they're added in. If we change how many credits the plan includes or what top-ups cost, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.

8. Your content

You own the information, photos and content you give Reeve and the work it makes for you, such as your website, posts and messages. You give us permission to use them only to provide Reeve to you. Graphics, videos and your website are made from your own photos; Reeve doesn't use AI-generated images.

9. Acceptable use

You won't use Reeve to send spam, to contact people without the consent the law requires, to mislead or harass anyone, or for anything illegal. We can refuse a request or suspend an account that breaks this.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Reeve running around the clock, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when a service it depends on is down. We may improve, change or remove features over time and will tell you about changes that matter.

11. Liability

Reeve is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for lost business, lost profits or indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.

12. Ending the service

You can cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your account if payments fail and aren't fixed, or if these terms are broken. When your account ends, we delete your data as described in our privacy policy, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and let you know at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
